I just met Mr. Franti again in Charleston when he played A MAGICAL show on my birthday (March 13). Wow. My friends were amazing - making me feel so loved and so special - they had emailed his manager asking if Michael would wish me a Happy Birthday. He certainly did. And after the show, I had the pleasure of a brief meeting to thank him for his wishes and to give him this picture.
Why I love music and why I love Michael Franti…is that an artist shares their soul with the world. (WOW!) It is a blessing that we are able to experience a bit of their soul and connect - and it brings out a bit more of our souls in doing so. But it is also a blessing that as we FEEL the music and DANCE to it and are MOVED by the words and the message and the beat - we are reminded that we are all one - riding the FLOW together. Music makes it possible for us to reach that state of BLISS, or total presence, and unity with ALL that is around us. Thank you, Michael Franti! You are inspiration!
